The young people's service
The Young People's Service is for young people 15+ who are:
- In care;
- Preparing to leave care
- Have already left care
16 + vulnerable in need
They will make sure you are provided with the right opportunities to enable you to achieve your aims for the future until you are 18. |
If you are a care leaver
The service will be provided until you reach 21, or 25 if you are in full-time education. |
The service is made up of specialist staff including: Young Person's Adviser, Supporting Lodgings Service; Accommodation Adviser.
Help and support available to you!
The service is here to help you prepare for your future. This means you will receive help with:
- Developing life skills
- Benefit advice and financial issues
- Making claims for benefits
- Finding appropriate accommodation
- The law and legal rights
- Personal support
- Health issues and sexual health
- Reaching decisions regarding employment, training and education
