Your brief guide to being looked after

Children and Young People wanted to improve the experience of coming into care. As a result of their voice, a subgroup was developed and supported to design a guide that could be given to all looked after children and young people.
 
The young people chose the content and what they felt were the most important things they wanted to know, when they came into care.
 
The guide has been printed and distributed to all the looked after teams to circulate to children and young people when they come into care. In addition to this all current looked after children have received the guide.
